Online Job from home; One of the biggest problems in getting a legitimate online job is Google. This is what I mean by that shocking statement. I just google online jobs, and the results included blogs with information about working from home opportunities. Two employment websites, Indeed.com and CareerBuilder.com, and several sites with various companies offering legitimate online jobs (low-paid jobs like online data entry job).
I am looking for a way to work and earn money online through an online job at home, with no opportunity to work from home or home business. Not that there is anything wrong with a legitimate online job at home or legitimate home businesses. I want to trade time for guaranteed wages to create an income I can rely on every week.
When I clicked on the Indeed.com link, I saw a vacancy for a “Search quality moderator – entry-level,” a vacancy for a “Representative, Customer Service” and a job for an “Online sales representative” in the advertising section (top 3 offers ). I saw a vacancy “Help Needed Online Ad Processors” under the advertised vacancies. The rest of what I saw were non-online job openings.
CareerBuilder offered a few more related vacancies that appear to be for real online jobs. Still, I had to read the list headline and information carefully to determine if it is an online job or one that contains the word “online,” such as “Senior Manager, Online Marketing” and “Advertising Sales Representative (Online Media).”
None of these vacancies were online jobs, but rather jobs that required activities in the online world. For both listings, the employee had to travel to an office location, work a full day, and then leave the office. No online opportunities I’m looking for.
Many of the options after I google online job for working from home in the search results include envelope filling and product assembly. Some of the options in the search results include online resellers through eBay, which is a home business rather than an online job, affiliate blogger, which is a home business rather than an online appointment, beauty product seller, it is a home business rather than an online job.
Most of the legal mentions I found in the result set included low-paying online job from home, customer service types of online employment. Nothing I could rely on to maintain my standard of living.
In my experience, there are many irrelevant results from the Google search. Time wasted eradicating illegal, low-paid jobs can be spent applying for legitimate, well-paid online jobs.
How to Avoid These Problems
Another major problem is the number of scams that exist if you google online jobs. This scam is not only a waste of time but can also cost you a lot of money. Many of them request your bank or credit card details and proceed to deduct money. Some scams can empty your bank account.
A lot of scams come from outside the United States. Federal officials have identified many scams:
- Telemarketing fraud
- Nigerian letter or “419” fraud
- Identity theft
- Prepayment arrangements
- Fraud in health care or Fraud in health insurance
- Redemption / Framan / Bond Fraud
- Fraud letter for online job from home
- Prime Bank Note Fraud
- “Ponzi” schemes
- Pyramid schemes
- Market manipulation or “Pump and Dump” Fraud
Google online job Fill employer database
Another major problem is the number of employers who rely on job vacancies to maintain their resource base or online personnel database. Many companies post job vacancies online intending to fill their supply database.
The reason for this is that if the company decides to increase the number of online jobs, the employer must demonstrate that it is capable of supplying suitable employees to stakeholders.
Many employers are considering migrating from traditional jobs to online jobs to reduce overhead. A database full of potential candidates makes the employer feel safe and allows the employer to make decisions about replacing regular jobs with online jobs.
Many requests you submit are for “placeholder” online positions that may or may not be filled in the future.
Another major problem is the number of candidates applying for an online job from home. According to an article in the Huffington Post, three unemployed people compete for every traditional vacancy. The report did not mention online jobs or related ratios, but it can be assumed that the rate is much higher. The reason I make that assumption is the fact that more and more people are looking for ways to make money at home than ever before. Either to supplement their income or to replace their income.
This type of job offers many benefits, such as gas savings, time savings, flexible schedules, and more control over your life in general. Millions of people are looking for ways to take advantage of these benefits. So it’s fair to say that competition for online jobs is fierce.
Another major problem is the types of skills required to qualify for an online job from home. Elance-oDesk (formerly Elance) is a company that specializes in offering freelance opportunities to employees. The company has more than eight million freelancers from more than 180 countries.
A report was released earlier this year, and below are some key findings from the report:
The most requested skills according to an analysis of the more than 650,000 jobs posted to Elance this year include:
- Software development skills such as HTML5 (+238 percent), Mobile (+137 percent), WordPress (+100 percent), Facebook (+66 percent) and Twitter (+47 percent)
- Creative skills such as graphic design (+176 percent) and content writing (+72 percent)
- Marketing skills such as internet marketing (+132 percent), marketing communications (+53 percent) and telemarketing (52 percent)
- Administrative skills, including transcription (+114 percent), administrative support (+87 percent), and online data entry job (+69 percent)
- Advisory skills ranging from Product Manufacturing (+186 percent),
- Architectural design (+185 percent), financial analysis (+140 percent) and legal (+86 percent) to business strategy (+76 percent)
Many of the online jobs listed on the Elance-oDesk website and similar websites require specific skills. People who have no experience in technical, creative, advisory, or administrative positions do not have the necessary skills and are at a disadvantage.
According to LATIMES – The unemployment rate was 4.4% in March and there were 870,000 job losses that month, according to revised figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics that reflected the early stages of business shutdowns and job cuts.
